Good Morning! 54F @ 7:45AM. Plenty of sunshine. High 71F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.
Larry Cosgrove thinks we'll stay warm and dry for most of the month out here; that'll be a nice change and good for the repairs going on down at the dam. Hope the landscaping doesn't try out too quickly though, the wildflowers haven't even begun to bloom. Not looking good this week for the east, though, with possible heavy snow on the way. Stay warm'n'safe if yer back there folks!
Very nice day yesterday, with another one just like it on tap for today. Got the bushes in the front trimmed up; love that Stihl gas hedge trimmer! Spent more time picking up than I did cutting, and running the two dump beds full of trimmings to the compost heap was a nice rest for the ol' back.
Speaking of old, got a nibble on the old K-bike yesterday, hope to get a follow up phone call on it today. Also heard from the attorney that handled my mon's estate, who then emailed me a copy of the final tax return showing the home's value at the time of her death. Don't know why I never got a copy to begin with, but at least now I can do the taxes for this year. Not gonna like writing that check, but I should be happy that the place showed some appreciation since '03 when so many in that area did not!:grumpy:
Cabela's has the SPOT Tracker device on sale for half price at $49, and at $99/year for the service, it's the least expensive "LoJack" type service I've been able to find. Lots of other stuff on sale, too, so I snagged a big picnic cooler as well.
