Pics of two bass guitars I made.
The 5 string is a Walnut top on Maple, with a neck through of Walnut, Maple, and Purple Heart. The neck is Ebony, with Walnut headstock overlay.

The 4 string is a fretless (frets are maple inlay), Flame Maple on Mahogany.

The most difficult part of both was fretting the 5 string.

I will probably never build another - it took quite a while.

Remarkable. You are a real artist. Been thinking about trying my hand at an acoustic, but thinking is all I've been able to accomplish so far. Have committed to buying a couple of ukulele kits and building them with my twin grand sons, but those are easy.

I have been away a while due to no internet at home except for the phone and it is hard to type on a phone! I have been making some consigned pieces for people over the winter and my wife bought me a lathe so been turning some bowls and making lamps.

Getting close to time to start seed in the greenhouse so the woodworking will slow down. However there has been a lot of nice work posted in this thread.

Here's the start of a pencil holder I'm making. I think it's too big and I'm going to redirect it to being an utensil holder and make a smaller one for pencils. IMG_9427.JPG

Man, I know where the wooden spoons would go if that were in my house! Here's some more of my stuff.
