Anyone have any problems with freezing cables? Any solutions? No need of smart Texas, "southern" answers. F

One of my remotes froze up, but by applying a bit more force it broke loose. I try to remember to move it from time to time now. I don't know what lubricant you could put on it to stop it from freezing up,

Mine are sticky, but I keep it under a shed. I think I sprayed some gear and cable lube at the remote end.
