Finally get to add pics to this awesome thread. Over the summer I found a sweet deal on a JD Blade for the 4100,, complete set up...It did awesome for our first snow a few weeks ago.. so much so a neighbor
who handles the property management of the local food lion about a 1/4 mile away asked if I would be interested in trying the parking, he wasn't happy with the current crew ( small Bob Cat with bucket and slick tires, Red belly with a box blade with width that didnt reach the inside of the back tires ) so I said I would give it a shot. I'd seen the crew before and noted they wasted a lot of time retracing their path due to snow roll of the edge of box blade and and bucket.. so my first thought was I need containment wings...but I need them to be detachable as well not cause a cost burden...TO THE SCRAP BIN!! digging around rewarded me with sturdy square tubing and a couple of 550 armor blades.. and here is the result. I am in serious thought of using my DIY quick attach plate for the FEL so I can mount the blade and push the snow up into piles.. appreciate any input ( side note the image with the green skate wheels.. I get asked a lot to spread gravel for people in their drives.. that was my solution after noting the john deer depth bars wore down real fast ) 20170123_195858.jpg20170125_130355.jpg20170125_200805.jpg20170125_200821.jpg20170126_112253.jpg20170126_112258.jpg20170126_112306.jpg20170126_112311.jpg

Picked it up from a fellow in Saskatchewan, paid $2500.00 for the little B7001. It's a pretty simple tractor 3 speed standard transmission with high low range, the PTO has three ranges, she's a bit thirsty on fuel. Later on I'll either rebuild the injectors or just buy three new ones.

Stock accessories are turn signals, headlights and a horn.

It came with the weired rototiller that uses a proprietary hitch which I removed then installed an after market three point. I'm hoping the 18 hp diesel will run the larger tiller that came with the Simplicity 9020 tractor.

Nice, have you considered adding a rubber flap on top of the plow to stop the snow from going over the blade.

NO SNOW HERE, maybe I need to put the mower back on.

At least wait until we find out if Phil sees his shadow,,,
THAT is the TRUE determination if it is time to put the mower back on,,,

It didn't snow this week, so last week's video.

Better video than I would have made.

I plow a "Driveway" Road, The neighbors driveway, Horse paddock, and at least 1/4 Acre of open area gravel parking /turn around areas around theour equipment building front & back of house and the barn.

Road plowing the easy part, except wen the plow catches and edged and you go off the road down an embankment. That was a close a call to rolling my tractor as I've had.
