Also, they have retail stores all over the place. Most malls, shopping districts, etc...
That is a good thing. We buy lands end. Nice you can do returns at Sears.
I read they were spun off with shareholders but still under Sears Holdings. The only stores around here that have the clothes is Sears and the selection is low. My wife would buy items online then bring the ones she didn't like back to Sears. Here's their history... we used to buy really nice sweaters and outdoor wear from them. Good hiking shoes, too. Haven't purchased from their catalog in many, many years. I think they are no longer owned by Sears.

I heard this on the news this morning. Said part of the deal was making the Craftsman brand available in more stores. Be interesting to see how this plays out in the long run.
In the shorter term, I think Sears/Kmart is just about done.
Kmart was sad 40 years ago. How they still exist is beyond me. :confused3:I'm not into wishing ill will onto people.. but if the kmart in our area would close.. we could get a rural king or walmart.. and either / both, would be 1000x better than the kmart in our city... it's like a bad outlet store that sells junk nobody wants...

We used to ride our bicycles and go to the back of the store where the 'cafeteria' was at. They had a big clear umbrella hanging upside down full of balloons. You could pick and pop a balloon and inside would be a little strip of paper (like a fortune cookie) with the price you had to pay for a banana split or sundae. Sometimes full price, sometimes only a little or on a real lucky day, free. We would then go buy baseball or football trading cards with the leftovers (money that is). I still have all those cards from the late 60s early 70s.Agreed, it is a mystery how they have lived this long. Our store in springfield, was a crummy store when I was a kid, and we always preferred to go elsewhere. Someone must have continued to patronize them I guess.
