I sure don't want you to be disappointed Roy come on down 6 1/2" of fluffy snow more to fall before midnight... home cook meal venison potatoes gravy veggie home made bread. :)

I appreciate the offer...looks like 5-6 inches so far, and still coming down steady...slows a bit for a while, but than seems to be coming down strong.
I reckon we'll see what we get when it's over...

Well as far as I know we are scheduled for up to 12" but are real close to the 12-18" "line". I went & bought $435 worth of screw in studs. Just played (plowed) in a few inches of snow on top of ice and I am pleased in just 2WD. I put 2 studs in each bar, 160 pc. on the rears and 144 in the fronts. A friend turned me on to a great chain place in Tamworth NH, great chain prices and the studs in stock. A great logger's supply place in general with Husky saws too, Windy Ridge is their name.

Check out a 7' Curtis snow plow blade mounted on our John Deere 3038e - Having fun!!!

Over the last few weeks we have had over 12"+ of snow fall and it's finally time to get our JD 3038e and 7' Curtis plow blade out. After adjusting the feet for the right depth with the gravel and having a little patience with how to properly control the level of the plow this thing makes light work of clearing the driveway (about a .10 of a mile). Check out some footage we shot after a 3" heavy wet snow fell on Christmas Eve. My parents were visiting for Christmas so my Dad got 1st chance at clearing the driveway. I am actually excited about more snow falling on my driveway now.

Do you remove those studs in the Spring?

Do you remove those studs in the Spring?

That's my plan. Now that I took on some driveways with roading involved I have not used my good ice chains for 2 reasons. Scarring up the driveways that are paved and premature wear. I was worried that tonights snow might be heavy & wet from earlier weather predictions, so far (5") it's a nice snow and the weather people say the rain/snow line will be only around 5 miles inland.:cool2:
Sorry your snow turned out to be a big tease Roy:thumbdown:

Wasn't bad, actually...about 7" or so of powder, which is great for snow blowing...

I would worry about leaving marks in the driveways... will be interested to hear what you experience with these studs.
