Tractor
None...Yet!
Hello All,

We just moved back to Texas from Colorado and purchased a house with 20 acres. Soon I'll be building a barn and buying a tractor, so I'm looking forward to learning from all of you here at TractorByNet.

Thanks, glad to have joined. No retirement yet. Our online business allows us to work from just about anywhere and after about 10 years in the Denver area, it was time to get back to a smaller/slower life.

Hello constructionguru,

I'm not sure about the HP yet. I'm thinking somewhere around 50 +/- as I need to unload 1000+ lb boxes from 18 wheel trailers. As a carpenter for many, many years, I won't have much of a problem with building a barn, but I'm clueless about buying a tractor. I know for sure that I'll need a FEL and bush hog/shredder to start.

What kind of business do you have that you need to unload 1,000lb loads?

I know about that kind of flexibility as my daughter has a job that she does from home so she has moved more than once.

I grew up in Boerne but you couldn't pay me to go back. Used to be beautiful though.

We have an online store selling high-end, handmade garden tools that are from Holland. Our typical shipment come in boxes on skids that usually weigh between 1000 - 1200 lbs.

Oh, almost forgot mddorange...thanks for your Air Force service!

Boerne is a little too close to San Antonio (big city) for our liking...that's why we chose Kerrville.
