Heck Ive only changed my avatar once. Used to be a pic of the L3400. Now its a pic of the MX.

When someone changes their avatar, it kinda throws me for a loop, cause I have got in the habit of looking at the avatar and associating that with the person. To the point I dont always look at the name of who is posting. Until I see a new avatar then look at the name and realize it was just changed is all.

Murph does a great job of relating his Avatars to current seasons. I look forward to his changes. :)

Whew, this thread went downhill fast. Okay, I only need a CUT or even SCUT, have a Deere 2210 now. Great little tractor, but I've decided instead of buying a $2,700 front end loader, I'm going to sell it and just find a bit bigger tractor with FEL. Plus, Deere messed up on these U joints and plastic fans to cool transmission. What I want is a tractor I can work on myself. Normal maintenance stuff without having to take the thing apart! Reliability and easy maintenance is what I'm after.

Good luck with finding that tractor.

I replaced my ujoints with greaseable versions and added a maintenance window.

I haven't had a plastic fan for 6 years.

Personally, I don't think these tractors are large enough to productively use an FEL.

In the new JDs, I believe you need to be in the 3xxx series at a minimum. :)

I can agree with that 100%, I found my 4 series JD is a really good size for FEL work and moving round bales without needing crazy amounts of ballast.

1 and 2 series JD tractors are useful for some things but 3 series up they start to get really useful. I see a ton of sub compacts and small compacts for sale all the time, people grow out of them too quickly. Just my 2 cents
