Dirt Moving Pulled my first stump with my new to me KX121

As the title reads, today was the day. I'm new to excavators and I've worked small stumps out with my loader bucket, but that's about where my experience ends. I figured I might as well pull what needs pulling. and pulled a 36" oak stump, just under a year from dropping the tree. Took over an hour. Still need to fill it in.

You made a nice neat job of it. Those things don't come out easy especially when they are in the 3 foot class. Maybe working in the dark is the way to go for those babies.

You will learn going forward.....that if stump removal is in the cards......dont cut the tree down. Dig a little around it.....reach up high, push it over. Amazing what 10' of tree trunk for leverage can do.

If you want some more practice I've got several stumps I'll let you play with, even some big oaks like that one.
