L2501 HST with loader and backhoe (tlb)

I picked up a new L2501 with front loader and backhoe. I'll share my thoughts and modifications for the tractor on this thread.

After 3 days here's my initial impressions

Pros:
-Fit and finish is very good.
-Ergonomics for the tractor is very good. I'm 6'4"
-I really like loader and loader controls. Smooth
-Three range trans nice.
-Backhoe seems powerful.
-All metal!
-Tractor using front loader works well. Plenty of power. Still breaking in so haven't pushed it hard yet.
-Great value! Paid slightly more than a B2301 I think!! Much heavier more rugged machine for the money.

Cons:
-Engine exhaust is very loud. I have separate thread on it. Maybe an issue with mine.
-Backhoe ergonomics for seat is ridiculous. I have already modified seat by pushing it back 4". Much better now and fairly comfortable.
-Backhoe controls bind up because of boots on sticks. Sticks too short. (I plan on replacing sticks with B2650 sticks... )
-Throttle lever very tight and hard to move (I have adjusted it.. better now)


Biggest complaint right now is noisy engine.

My 2501 has a very loud exhaust as well. Invest in some good ear muffs. Other than that, I'm liking it very much.

Thank you for the feedback! Yes I'm liking it pretty well except for the harsh exhaust note.

Your welcome. I'm amazed at the torque. It's a very strong engine. Probably because there is no exhaust restrictions....

Yes lots of torque. It's a 100 cube engine. My 38 hp Kubota is only around 120 cubes! The L2501 engine really has the grunt.

I hear ya on the lack of exhaust restriction! Hahah!
