Good morning all, 49 this morning going to 75 and sunny. Got the hole done from the basement out and see red clay clods so I know I am close to the top of it. Now just have to figure out how to dig the dirt out of the way through a 2 1/2" hole. Figuring on using a half section of pipe. Tired last night and went to bed at 8:30 and slept till 5:00. Had to get up and do night checks so not as long as it sounds but longer than usual. Take it easy today and enjoy Sunday, at least that is the plan.

West coasters, Glad the storm was not as bad as feared.

Daugen, Paint the pipe with the flat and then the gloss, If the gloss burns off you still have the flat. Will that work?

My question is if the UK and/or the European Union are better places to live as a result of all these taxes!

It certainly appears that taxes will rise here in the US as a result of this coming months election.

Need to pour second cup of coffee. 61° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 70° with burst of rain all day. Survived the no card episode. Did some grocery shopping for wife. Another puttering day. Then afternoon NASCAR. While I watch NASCAR, it's always part time. Beginning of race and last laps. plus DVR recording just in case I missed something.

49 going to 75, then 80s this week.

Nice vigorous hike yesterday up the Little Devils Staircase again, about 1,500' climb in first 2 miles, then easy 3.5 mile down around the loop. Saw 1 brown water snake, and folks just ahead of us say they saw a 4' rattler, but it was gone when we got there...never seen a rattler in these mountains...but many other snakes. Nice waterfalls and good stream flow with some early autumn colors. Stopped by a winery and then a brewery on the way home. Perfect fall day, and yes, we did get a late start. My truck got a good breaking in...covered in dust from long dirt road, dog threw up on a towel on the back seat floor, and a guy backed into it...fortunately only scratched the side of the rear bumper but felt like an earthquake.

63 this morning and headed to 83 today.

Well we're back home, made it in about 1am this morning. Long ride with the boys having a screaming match. Took oldest son for a go cart ride yesterday while we were waiting for our appointment at the blacksmith shop. Then helped him hammer out a knife from a cut nail. He enjoyed both. Then I made our youngest son a knife from a railroad spike. Now both boys have one.

Step outside to 39F this morning compare to 27F yesterday and finish couple 3 hours cleaning leaves from the ditches,would have done yesterday but I just plan ran out of steam...8+ hours blowing leaves than mowing...the old recliner sure felt good in bed by 9:30pm.

High reach upper 60's,enough leaves fall I take back pack blower for walk or just be putter day.

No colors here yet. But all the leaves on the trees are looking old and ready to fall off.

RNG, those bands were some of the earliest psychedelic bands. My brother was into the 13th floor elevators.

Got the car fixed (I hope). Seems to be anyway. I am not a fan of working on under dash items due to the contortions you have to do to get her done. Anyway, I owe a thanks to a video on Youtube that saved me a ton of time and I would have for sure torn up some stuff getting it apart.

Our church is having an Octoberfest day, complete with polka music, a short sermon, fried chicken, German noodles, green beans, and a bevvy of desserts. Hopefully fun for all.
