The rear spring and rear axle and rear wheels are sourced from Model AA 1.5 ton truck line.

From the lightest weight roadster to the largest Model AA tanker truck they all used the same 40 hp flathead 4 cylinder motor and mechanical brakes.

The housecar shown the picture also has air brakes on the trailer.

Model A's were actually remarkably fast in that range... it is at higher speed you would be really pushing it.

Sweet spot is 42 to 45... flat out pedal to the metal 60-65 with tailwind

My Grandpa had a story about his Mom (Great Grandma) making my Great Grandpa Stop the car and let her out, because he was going so fast. According to my Grandpa... they had been flying at 18mph. "Far faster than God every intended without a track!" according to Great Grandma

I took mom for a quick spin around the neighborhood in the 1905 Oldsmobile and she kept telling me to slow down... max speed is 25 mph!

It is different in that you sit up high and at the very front of the car with a big steering tiller between you.

Thank you... always fascinated by Horse Carriages and real pleased to have it...

If the time ever comes to pair down the collection the last 3 would be the 1905 Curved Dash Oldsmobile, the 1938 Bantam 60 Roadster and my 1931 Model A Deluxe Rumble Seat Roadster...

For decades I used a vintage 1950's single axle trailer without brakes to tow all of my cars... the trailer was built in Oakland CA and has been all over the Western States mostly towed by a Station Wagon... folks would cringe today and that trailer has even hauled 289 Shelby Cobras and once a Ford GT40 to the SF International Car show... the things we did on a shoestring budget.

I've found renting a rollback a good alternative especially moving two vehicles.
