Pandemonium was born on the third anniversary of the day the late great Barley and I set out from Vermont to the Pacific by sidecar. With love and patience, this little guy will be my next long distance sidecar dog

Beautiful pic. Hope he brings you many great blog entries. My brother had a short, mixed breed that would ride on his carpet covered gas tank and nose in the wind.

Oh man. This is destined to become my favorite thread!

We have two: Cassie is our girl. She's (as best we can tell) an Australian Cattle Dog (Red Heeler) and Corgi. My fiance rescued her and she's very protective of her and my stepdaughter. She's usually fine when I'm home, but don't show up with just the girls here. To us, she's as sweet as pie, but she takes her guard dog responsibility very seriously.

Franklin is the family boy. He's an English Setter. What a wonderful breed. He's a perfect gentleman. He's sweet and smart. His world revolves around chasing birds in "his" woods -about an acre of spruce trees. My aunt had an English Setter bred and the family that was supposed to take him had a change of plans and he was unclaimed. I got him for the cost of the vet bills.

Every Christmas his mother and sister come and visit from Michigan. Anyone with Setters can imagine the collective anxiety of three of them in a small house with 20 people on Christmas Eve...

Dogs deserve a great home and place to live like this.
Look how happy these two are.[/QUOTE

Yeah, we love our pooches. And they are never apart from each other - where one goes, so goes the other.

Mine likes to "air it out" like this too. It always makes me think that since this is an extremely vulnerable position for an animal, we must be doing a good job of making them feel safe and comfortable.

We had a visitor for a party that day and the bandanas must have been for a western or cattle rustler theme. This was the home made biscuits segment.
