Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

I have one of these.

Amazon.com: BlueDriver Bluetooth Professional OBDII Scan Tool for iPhone, iPad & Android: Automotive

works really good and has worked on everything I have plugged it into so far. It lives in my F150 right now, not because of problems but just because :)
I'm taking the WRX to a tuner in a couple weeks, I'll see about a PC interface then as I'll probably have a Cobb AccessPort hooked up.

In the meantime I picked up the "Professional Scan Tool" #62120. Supports all 10 OBD modes, can read and display live data, can "freeze frame" display or download data, and has manufacturer codes for Subaru and just about everyone else, it seems. Paid $88. Put it in the hatch with other tools. Reset the code I had ("Camshaft over advanced") no problem.

Same with my Bluedriver, at the time I purchased it was the only thing that had a history of supporting all vehicles with a free iPhone app. I paid the 99$ for mine, but used it for work on one of the trucks so turned it in on my expense report. Bad crank position sensor, saved the company the shop bill so it more than paid for itself. I sleep good at night ;)

Now my wife is going to be a HF junkie!

Mine already is. While I was out for errands Saturday, she asked me to stop at HF to pick up a couple more pipe wrenches for our remodeling project. I also grabbed a new set of screw drivers for the inside-the-house tool box, to replace her Grandmother's old Stanleys that had long ago been stripped beyond any usefulness.

A post in "Rural Living" reminded me that the HF telescoping flagpole is decent. Wife bought her mom one many years ago. It's still in use and holding up fine.

I have had one on my property for 2 years. It is in great working shape and comes with the hardware to mount two flags on it. I was originally concerned because of how light it is. But it has held up very well. It is light enough that I just pluck it out of the in-ground PVC holder and walk it towards me to change flags vs raising and lowering each section.

Stopped by HF today to get a tarp. Spent $8 on that. But my wife saw a 24x46 poly cart that she wanted. We got up to the register with the little ticket, but they had trouble finding the right cart. Waited about 10 minutes, they found the right cart, but it was labeled as a smaller, cheaper cart. The manager apologized, gave us the cart for the cheaper price, and gave us a 20% discount as well. Now my wife is going to be a HF junkie!

Will that not be better for you? :)
