Hey fluid question on kinks 354

Does anyone know the amount of hyd fluid it takes?
Also is it a common sump tractor,or does it have separate compartments. Thanks

I am not so sure,the rear pump pulls from bottom,when I drained the hydraulic fluid it also drained tranny ,also there is nothing to check trans fluid level with and no drain directly under trans.the lift box has a tube that runs down to somewhere in lower case.
Also this is an agracat ,Tommy said it was same as a354,not so sure now

Guys this thing is common sump,has the overflow tube in lift box down to granny,at bottom of sump is a bolted on plate with drain on one side and pump suction connects to other side,returns in top lift box.
Bad news is I noticed it wasn't draining well after rinsing with diesel,so I removed plate and found an o ring,gets worse,27 gear teeth.so pulled top shift plate,third gear wiped out.must been some manufacturing defect as it was only problem seen
Teeth were brittle.

Manufacturing defect. Uh huh. Did the oil you were using have an AGMA rating?

Don't know,just bought the tractor.
I doubt it was correct fluid,they properly didn't know it was common sump.

They obviously must have otherwise you would see a mix of ISO AW46 and 80w-90 gear oil.
Glad to know that you are qualified to state "a manufacturing defect".
