Backhoe Video: How deep can you dig?

We recently have had several people ask how deep the BXpanded Narrow Trencher Bucket will dig so we decided to go out and make a video digging a trench. The ground was hard but at only 4-1/2" wide it didn't take all that long! Available for Kubota BX Series with BT601 & BT602 backhoes, Kubota BH65, BH70, BH75, BH76, BH77, B4672A, BL4690B backhoes, and John Deere 260 & 270 backhoes(JD bucket is slightly wider).

What is the answer? I can't read the tape in the video.

I couldn't see the tape either. I was impressed that the guy operating the tractor had the patience to keep digging with that bucket. Kind of like using a spoon instead of a shovel.

The tape read 70 inches.

Good design with short sides to keep from plugging/cleaning narrow bucket. I had seen these in past for large excavators and thought someone needs to manufacture similar for small BH units.

For example - about $325.

I may have several hundred feet of trench to put in for water pipe, do you have one that might fit a Woods BH70-X?

What? There are links included for each of the three variations mentioned, the second being to the same page you linked to. Each leads to a webpage for the product with prices displayed in a big red tag.

Nice tool to have, if you don't mind digging slower, as Eddie pointed out. Did anyone else notice at the 57 second mark, the SMV emblem that was bolted onto the boom was removed? It was wider than the bucket and it would have gotten destroyed if they hadn't removed it.

Yes, I always thought that SMV sign sticking out there on the boom looks goofy anyway.
