I found some of MKR's train stuff really cool, I just don't always respond to things. If I left because nobody responded to my Good Morning posts, I'd have been gone a long time.

Accepted a full price offer on my Mom's house yesterday. It was the fourth or fifth offer this particular couple made over the course of almost a month. The first was a real low baller, so low it pissed me off and I told my realtor I didn't want any further interaction with these people or their realtor. At the same time another offer came in for both the home and the lot next to it, but it was way too low. But I think it was enough to wake up the eventual buyers that if they kept screwing around they were gonna lose the house of their dreams. Now I hope the escrow goes smoothly; but the their realtor has been such a bungler I know there will be problems.

Worked for a short time on the van yesterday morning before it got too hot. Removed the carpet (eeeeeew!), all the door locks and handles, and started on the dash. Should finish that today, and maybe get the head and tail lights out. Should get the primer ordered, and the white paint and clear for the inside, nice jobs for the afternoon in the nice cool air conditioning.

Gonna try to flog Mom's boyfriends guns at gunbroker.com. Figured I'd start off with one of my Dad's shotguns I have no use for, a Browning Lightweight Double Auto. Turns out the thing is somewhat rare because of the color of the receiver, but I'm not going to let that get my hopes up.

had fun with my BIL rototilling the sunflower patch. I let him drive both the Gravely and the Kubota and he did fine.
Picked a big supply of cucumbers and tomatoes; some of the tomatoes are easily over a pound. We had burgers for lunch with home grown tomatoes and
onion on them. Yum.

Need to go find my hoe and go clean up those sunflowers.

Hey, I had about 20% of my sunflowers pruned by deer last night and i don't see anything good about it.
And Brexit pruned my retirement account, sure nothing good there.

yup, but we might see some more unhappiness when BREXIT actually occurs. And opportunities. Trip to London? We could arrange a TBN pub crawl...might even treat Eric to a warm beer.

U.S. stocks rose for the first time in three sessions Tuesday, recovering some of their brutal losses seen in the aftermath of the U.K.'s vote to quit the European Union.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average, which over the past two sessions lost 900 points, jumped 269.48 points, or 1.6%, to 17,409.72. The broader S&P 500 index added 35.55 points, or 1.8% to 2,036.09, with all 10 main sectors finishing higher. Energy, financials and technology sectors lead the gains, rising more than 2%

I was pleased the first day when the whole market tanked two to three points, my retirement account only went down .47%. Lot of anchors in it, needed as one gets older. But then when the market shoots up, it drags those anchors also. Between the turtles and the hares, I need the turtles (of course!) but they need to go faster than 5%. That's not so easy to do anymore with some degree of safety.

While I would love a chance to go see Eric and his wife's place, I think I'll pass on the warm beer. Would y'all suppose that because it is so hot down here in Texas, that would be why we prefer cold lagers???

I still like me a cold barley pop every now and then, and maybe a few more whilst out saltwater bay fishing.

I can't remember the last time I actually had a hangover....and that's a good thing.

Morning guys! ( its gotta be morning somewhere!! ) Busy working on my sisters place. It will be done soon, and I am glad. I have way more things that I need to do.

I come here because I like to interact with somebody. I live in a rural area, and some days the only interaction is with my wife or my dog. Sometimes I prefer the dog. So this is like theraphy for me.

Good morning. 20 lambs off to market before the rain came, so life was feeling pretty good this morning (ignoring the minor stuff, such as the UK financial market almost collapsing and the value of the pound plummeting to record low levels) as I caught up on TBN, only to find I have unintentionally upset Kev.

I simply share a few thoughts over breakfast and I enjoy this start to the day. With not being together, you don't get to see me nod my head, or smile, or whatever other expression is on my face as I read what you have done or are planning to do, so the usual human feedback is just not there. I feel I ought to tell Kev that his post about the tornado was fascinating (we very rarely have tornados in the UK) and would certainly have had a few words about that, but too late now he has gone. So to everyone else, I would simply like to say, if you do have a minute or two to spare each day, or whenever, please keep going.

One thing I don't understand - Why was something like this put up to a vote? What is your parliament for? And is Cameron going down as the worst PM ever?

Imho, good beer is excellent cool, doesn't need to be ice cold. Of course we're not talking about any of the big names Americans call beer.

Ahhh 4th of July. wife's sister and hubby arrive with another couple tomorrow from Az and then on the 4th itself we'll host our 10th annual gathering of friends for a potluck.

67 right now...a bit of drizzle this morning. High will be about 78 with maybe the thunderstorm. There was one or two storms somewhere close last night...heard the rumbling, but it was a distance away.
Left work early for my pacemaker check up yesterday, then developed a sinus headache...just laid down when I got home. Better this morning...
