I've always wondered what happens when these things are not properly secured after lowering the camper shell... This guy's dash cam gives us a glimpse as to why you shouldn't follow too closely.

Nothing happens after the initial carnage just after 20 seconds, so you don't have to watch the whole thing as it's just a nice scenic drive. I wonder if there are laws on dash cam witnessing of accidents?

Is this section of the forum open to US citizens only ? It says i dont have the required privileges to access this topic. Seems a bit odd that i cant access my own postings which you moved there ? Please clarify. :)
It is available to all member, you just have to "opt in" to access those forums. Here are the directions from when that was setup:
Hello Everybody,

For the past couple of years, we have had two off topic forums for members who wish to talk about topics other than tractors with their tractor-loving friends.

Up until this point, the off topic Front Porch was available to all members who had at least 50 posts, and the Friendly Politics forum was accessible only by request.

Starting now, both of these forums will be accessible only by request.

In order to join or leave these two forums, please manage your access by visiting the Permission Groups settings page from My Home, or by clicking this link: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/profile.php?do=editusergroups

Thank you!

You have to request access to that forum. I think the only qualification is: you have been a member of TBN and posted for some minimal time.

But - some of the most frequent posters in that forum seem to participate only for the purpose of continually insulting everyone who responds to them. The threads immediately descend into exchanges of insults. You haven't missed anything valuable if you haven't visited that forum before. I think it was a wise policy to segregate the aggressive loons off into their own little corner.

So, its a section where Godwin's law applies ? Thanks for warning :)

Buddy of mine did that. That's why you never let the wife interrupt your trailer prep routine.

Oh boy... That was probably a fun discussion they had that evening. There really should be lock out/tag out procedures or a "pre flight" haul list for some of these contraptions. Anyone have pictures of a camper rolling down the road with sliders still extended? I bet it has happened.

I think this was posted before, but I still love it and it's worth sharing again as we talk camper hauling. Know your load, eh?

I had one. The ten steps, in order. Cone of silence for the wife.

So well stacked and packed with nice even ends, one would think they were hiding contraband . Maybe I'm just suspicious by nature.

Nice tailgate!

Aha - eagle eyes! Good job two bit!

I was struggling too, but two bit sleuthed this one for us.

Makes me think of these definite hauling no-no's: (Look closely...)
