No its not its all because of all the preppers and horders that are driving the price up.

Some of that going on for sure but all the shooting sports are reporting record growth ... especially women! I know guys that shoot 30,000+ rounds a year ... and that's for ONE platform. They shoot several!

How much ammo does one have to buy to become a hoarder??? I ask cause I stock lots of ammo.

Well we're talking about 22 not a 44 and why such a big price jump? The only thing that cost on a 22 is the case can't be the bullet. So I go back to what I said people hording so many rounds

I don't know but it's strange I check out stores and I found 1 brick of .22 for 20 bucks and I have been checking for years and can't find none except 50 bucks at cabals.

On .22's you have to watch for deals on some web sites. I scored boxes of 325 Federal Automatch at Smokey Mountain Gun's and Ammo a month or so back for $19.99 each.

I use ammo seek to find the best deals but watch out for shipping charges. Sometimes free shipping ain't.

Prices are starting to go up on .223 and 7.62x39. Gun stores are running out of ar15s

If you aren't picky I've seen those big tubs of 1,400rds Remington .22's ... but I don't like them. But that's traveling to a place like Sportsmen's Warehouse. I can't find any bulk .22 in my local stores for years now. There are people with weird jobs or they have buddies on the inside that go by and buy up all the .22 before anyone else can get to it.
