Remove the deck on a ZG222

How does one remove the deck on a ZG222 ?

Hi I'm new on this forum so I hope this question is in the correct place. I have a 2009 Kubota zg222 that I'm going to install a mulch kit,, how do I remove the deck so I can install the kit ?

Hey Jeffrey, I don't have a 222, so I'm not sure, but I simply purchased a tractor lift at Tractor supply. Lifted it high enough to really make getting the mulching kit on easily. Also helped with switching out the blades. I clean my deck frequently since we have black clay, so the lift was an invaluable purchase. I recommend one.

1st read your owners manual.
drop the deck to lowest setting, undo the 4 rings that hold the pins in on all 4 corners of the deck. pull the pins out, jiggle deck a bit helps. pull collar on pto shatf back and pull shaft off gearbox. lift deck links all the way up using the hydraulics and lock them up. now skid the deck out sideways.

I have removed the deck on my Z122r to install the mulching kit. For me I used my tractor FEL to lift the front off the ground to do some adjustments. I used a floor jack the first time. The lifting device at Tractor Supply is sold for less money at Harbour Freight who do do shipping if one isn't close.
