My 2006 Sierra came with a harness in the glove box that plugged into the electrical connector under dash near parking brake. simply wired harness to aftermarket brake controller and works great.

My 2003 F150 had the same. I was surprised to find the owners manual and the controller packet unopened in the glove box since I bought the truck used. Since it had the factory tow package it had the hitch, springs, and trans cooler from the factory. Not sure why the tow package didn't include the controller but it had the harness and a relay to plug into an empty hole for the aftermarket controller.
Wish they would have passed along the extra key and fobs but I didn't really need them.

I'm not sure what year they changed, but my '99 also has a pigtail included to plug in near your left foot but my '12 suburban had the wires tucked up under dash by steering column.

Also, with the prodigy, I just bought a new plug and bracket and I could easily move it between my P/U and suburban.

My guess would be the '07 refresh. Our 2005 Yukon has a plug down by the drivers feet.

Unfortunately, you do need to have RPO JL1 in order to add this feature to your truck. I recommend discussing this further with your dealership as they're in the best position to advise on any other possible options. Sincere apologies for any inconvenience.'
