37F and cloudy @ 11:00 ... high today is supposed to be 41F.
Took the bottom rake portion of the grapple over to U.B.'s to try to straighten it with his gas axe before I started to put the whole thing together ... that didn't go so well. All he has is I think a no. 1 tip for his torch (no rosebud) and he wasn't inclined to accept any input as to how I wanted it heated, or just allow me to do it apparently. We managed to get some of the bend taken out of it, but it still ain't like I want it. Did manage to get some metal cut out of the frost point/ripper tooth I built a number of years ago, so it will close up more when it's on the backhoe.
Texted another friend and found out he does have a rosebud for the new (to him) torch set he recently picked up. He says I'm welcome to use it, but that when he tried it he couldn't keep it lit ... so I did a little research on that ... need to find out the make of the torches and what size tip it actually is, so I can find a chart for the regulator settings. Also need to figure out a time when we can get together.
After that I worked on pulling some more of the wiring for some of the gauges out of the van ... might repurpose them to the Kubota if I can come up with a good solution for mounting them.
Squeak's been a little under the weather and out of sorts since she got her booster shot ... looking at the paperwork, she got the same dose as the larger cats ... dunno if that's right ... would think it would go by weight. Anyways she seems to be on the mend today ... she pretty much laid around all day yesterday, today she's up and moving around ... albeit gingerly.
Today's activities will likely include getting the second ozone generator pulled out and hooked up in the master bedroom bath, doing some running around, and mebbe getting up to the shed to do some more clean up/organize and/or starting to weld up some of the parts for the bottom half of the grapple.
