Thanks for all the birthday wishes for Dad.
I'll have to check the pic over his shoulder, not sure what it is.
Might be the one room school he attended.
I forgot about kevt taking his wagon class this time of year in the amish country. Dad had his share of working with draught horses. My parents used to go to the ohio amish country on a weekly basis.

Drew, i never used my 30a to 20a converter, i installed a 30a RV outlet on the side of my shed.
Glad you got it home safe. I have never taken mine more than a couple hrs away. Hate getting gas with it on.

RS, my friends wife took the cat to the vet. She was helping hold the cat for a shot and got bit so hard on her thumb, she passed out. My friend had to take off work and take her to the hospital for cleaning the puncture wounds...

Roy, glad you got your ticker fixed. I bet that was a rough harrowing few hours for you.

Hi Guys, I have been lurking around, but after 2 weeks in CO dealing with a sisters suicide, then leaving for a week in Ohio for the draft horse auction I have been busy playing catch up on all the posts. Not to mention all the work that didn't get done both business and farm. Sorry to say it but just been to busy to post much.

Roy, sure am glad you caught the faulty pacemaker in time. Trust me, a little R&R won't hurt you.

Drew, nice trailer! Now you know the worst thing you can do to one is not use it.

Kev, I am sooo jealous of the fuel tank you scored!!! Thanks for asking about me.

Don, sorry the mower wasn't an easy fix, it was very nice of you to try and help her with it. The pavers look awesome, and it was a damned nice thing giving the local woodpeckers a playground.

Eric, glad you got the trough to work, now if there was an easy way to keep the water clean. And before anyone says goldfish, remember I live in FL, home of egrets and herons, not to mention coons.

Farmer, how is the remodel coming? Baby room done? How is the wife doing?

Buckeye, your Dad looks really good for his age, Does he stay busy?

RS, to many cats!!! LOL

Larro, don't let anything happen to those NM chilies. Sorry to hear the frost hit you, we got lucky and it never reached ground level.

If I missed anyone I am sorry, just taxing my brain and that is not pretty.:D

Suicide is like getting hit from behind, no way to prepare, Godspeed to you and your family.

Kyle. I did the same thing with a dog. 45 lbs Of Australian Shepard. He was on the table and fine until the vet helper walks in and grabs his hind legs without introducing herself to him. He went ape shlt. I clamped his mouth shut and squeezed him out. We moved the scales/exam table 3 feet off the wall. The vet was then able to get a muzzle on him. Vet looks at me and says. I'm glad you aren't any smaller, most of my clients couldn't do that. I don't have any staff that could either. There are signs all over about they will restrain the animals and the owner isn't to. Still today she tosses me a muzzle and won't enter the room unless it's on him. We use the back door.

Rs too many cats.

KevT. Sorry about your sister. Best wishes. Um she's doing good and so is baby. Looks like another boy. Couldn't confirm today so we will try again in 4 weeks. 5 weeks ago a private ultrasound company said boy. She's 20 weeks, so halfway. I haven't started on the baby's room. Let's see that's the office and it's moving to the building which still isn't done. Weather is starting to turn though. We may need a TBN work week. :). Oh I'll get it done but warmer weather always does add to the plate. So many things to do at greenup. Stay safe.

Roy, sounds like a good catch, glad you are on the mend.

Kev, welcome back, so sorry to hear about your sister,

Farmer, your progress is sounding similar to mine.

Drew, very nice. Hope you have lots of trips planned.

Wrangling cats... I remember ours, one an angel, the other the **tch from ****. Took two trips to vet to get her rabies blood test before moving here. In Honolulu the TSa agent said had to take her out of the crate. Told her to be my guest as I wasn't about to try. Got her hand about half way in and decided she didn't need to be removed.

Don, your wife must be expecting a lot of woodpeckers.

Good morning. The sun is shining, hardly any wind and and last night's rain is rising as steam from the back yard. With luck this break through the clouds will last all morning. I should get to practice some more with my arc welder, there are jobs to be done with it but my skill level isn't where it needs to be yet, ok on the flat, joints are proving more tricky. Hard to teach an old dog new stick.

Don, this time of year I often get woken up by woodpeckers. I wonder if they will start giving you a morning call.

Oh my Roy, you had a narrow escape there. Great to see you feel well enough to get back onto TBN so soon.

RS That was funny.

Kev, so sad to hear about your sister. Good to have you back.

Drew, you never do things by half. We don't see travel trailers big enough to take an island unit in the kitchen !

65 going to 75 and very windy. Never got the quarter inch rain promised...maybe a sprinkle today. Be nice to have some to wash the pollen away (temporarily, of course).

Roy, what a scare - but what a great sense of humor so soon afterwards.

Kev, so sorry to hear about your sister.

Don, I love that view you have...you must be on a hill or plateau.

RS, thanks for sharing your feline adventures. I've had a few over the years.

Are you talking about the St Mary's Wilderness fire in Augusta, or is there another?

Good morning all. 60 this morning going to 73. We had .12" of rain last night and 30% chance this morning. Realized what is going on with me for the last few weeks. Lime has been coming back to pay a visit and I have been so busy I just thought it was all of the stress we are under.
Going to look at some antique furniture I have in storage and see what we want in the new house.
Then going to visit MOM, Her 92 birthday is the 29'th and I know I can't get there then. She still says she is 29 but seeing that I am pushing twice that I think she got her math wrong somewhere. :D

Kev, praying for you about your sister. Hard times.

Farmer, Sounds like all is well with mom and baby, Hard to get things done when your mind is on other things, that way for me anyway.

Already at our high of 52 today. On and off light rain. We have been treated to a symphony of peepers for about 2 weeks now. Such a beautiful sound and sign of spring. There has been a couple pairs of geese hanging out in the yard. I swear my ducks are arguing with them. I ordered a Pat's fast hitch on Sunday from Agri Supply. It's supposed to be delivered today. I knew I'd eventually end up ordering one so I held off on cutting the PTO shaft on my new tiller. Curious to see how this works out. I estimated that I would need to cut about 3.5 inches off the shaft. From what I've read, the fast hitch will extend the lift arms about 4 inches. I'm thinking I won't need to cut the shaft. Hoping the top-link will be fine. It's been basically fully collapsed with the items I've had it hooked up to. Time will tell :) Have a great day everyone!

41F here. Off today. Hope all have a Good Friday for this special time of the year.

I am off today as well are my kids from school. Waiting patiently for the wifey unit to wake up and make me a cup of decaf.

Kev, sorry about your sister. Don't know what the cause was, but my wife's family has some mental illness. Such a tough disease to deal with. And our state has pretty much totally turned it's back on it, unless it becomes criminally problematic. So don't move to Texas if there are any mental problems in your family.

Have too many chores to do today. Not sure which I'll try to remedy....

Might have to take some breaks and just go watch the garden grow.

my annual physical is in a few hours and i'm sitting here hungry, stomach rumbling, dying for a cup of coffee. Well, maybe a little black coffee won't hurt...

going to rain all day, and is starting now. Hope to spend the day inside the trailer cleaning it out. Actually if it's raining I can probably dump the water tank on the driveway, has some pink antifreeze still in it, very diluted, but the rain should dilute the rest.

Hopefully when my numbers come back in a week they will show improvement in the sugar and fat area. If not, I guess things will need to change. I've lost some weight and changed my diet, will see if the numbers show anything.

Kev, very sorry about your sister. A real shock. A prayer for her.

Good Morning! 43F @ 7:15 AM. Mostly cloudy. High around 45F. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph.

KevT, sorry to hear the sad news about your sister.

Roy, sounds like you dodged a bullet with that pace maker. How long's the warranty on the new one, and will they give you a spare you can swap in when the new one starts acting up? :D

Drew, that new motorhome is a perfect example of "if some's good, more's better"!!!

RS, now that was a good cat story!:laughing::laughing:

Stopped by to see the old man yesterday, and it was very difficult to keep him awake. One and two word answers to simple questions; he didn't understand anything complicated. The initial evaluation by the hospice nurse gives him maybe another two weeks.

Got the new screen onto the front storm door and installed three new smoke detectors yesterday. Was a bit delayed by an old neighbor dropping by to say hello. When I say old, he's the same age as the old man (87) but in much better shape. He had quite a few stories to tell, some of 'em not so complimentary. He pointed to a Dyson vacuum cleaner in the great room and asked me if I knew how the old man got it. I said "no", and he proceeded to tell me how proud the old guy was telling him how he stole it from Sears. Then he asked me if I'd noticed the ten or so picnic bottles of propane in the garage, and he said those were all stolen, too. Apparently that all started five or so years ago, probably one of the earlier signs of the dementia. There were other stories, too, but not the kind of thing for a family audience. It's been one surprise after another this trip.

The other neighbor and I are planning a dump run this morning to get rid of the old water heater and a defunct BBQ (it needs a new regulator, but I have no time to fool with it). Then we'll take some time to see if we can get any of the yard equipment running. That should be good for a sore arm and some cursing. Apparently the old guy wasn't much for draining gas out of something when he was done with it. And somewhere in there we need to go treasure hunting in the attic, but we'll need to move a lawn tractor out of the way first.

TGIF gang!
