I like your trailers Rick... all of them.

My small trailer is the log splitter...

What kind of ATV you pullin with?

Nice stock trailer too!

Thanks! We have a Polaris Ranger, the most used vehicle on the ranch. I bought the small trailer at Harbor Freight for $199 4-5 years ago, specifically to permanently mount the pressure washer. The PW came with small tires and was a big PIA to move around the ranch.

I'm considering another of the HF trailers to install my portable 8kW generator on for ranch jobs away from electric supply.

We have 2 stock trailers. One is a 24' C&M steel and other one is a 24' Sundowner Pro Stock aluminum.

Cause gas isn't always gonna be $1.50/gal! ;)

I've never been happier since I ditched half and 3/4 ton vehicles. My daily driver is a diesel drw. I never have to wonder and plan special for picking up that palate of sod, etc, etc. :)

More rubber for stability and traction and braking. Set up a little higher, see better, safer in a crash. All plusses. Downside is a little rubber and a very very little fuel. My unloaded diesel doesn't get too much worse milage than my old unloaded gasser, and when loaded heavier than my gasser half ton could be,bit gets better milage than the gasser half ton could when loaded.

That leaves a little rubber and some parking convenience as the downsides.

The good way out weighs the bad for me!

I'm towing at least 1/week, and hauling something at least another +1/week.

In Canada its apparently considered part of the truck or trailer:

I don't see a plate in the backing video, but I might have missed it.

I also found this on another forum:

Aaron Z

I did a frame freeze and adv on my phone, near the end of the vid there is a perfectly tag shaped 'plaque' on the back of the dolly.

Resolution on the go pro camera :) they used didn't allow the "plaque" to be read, so I can't say for certain it was a tag, but sure look like one, and is on the rear like a tag.

I wonder how well a notarized statement that a trailer looking device that hooks up to a trailer hitch is a part of your vehicle holds up during a lawsuit :)

Just sayin. :)

I'm not in the market myself but these dolly things did seem like one reasonable option for moving a bigger trailer than typically moved with a F150 or Tundra etc. I'm not advocating for it and I've never seen one but the physics seem to make sense. At least a couple of companies make the things and I haven't seen any Youtubes of disasters. Agree with you that if you just need to move a big trailer a couple times a year it would be best to hire that job out. These dolly things cost close to $10K. However, if you had your heart set on a fifth wheel camper and your tow vehicle is an Excursion, these dolly's just might be the thing.

10k$!!

Shoot, you can find 1 ton trucks under that!

Instead of buying that rube Goldberg ;) hitch for your sporty lil suv to tow the camper a couple times a year, just have an old dodge 3500 or ford 350 single cab parked. Be cheaper, and a good emergency 2nd vehicle, and you coil haul that palate of sod if needed ;)

Going over 10k opens another door to regulations and cost... at least here... I know Ford has a 10k rerate for F350... I believe it is SRW.

I really like well built aluminum trailers... came close a few times... still don't have one.

I'm RTV shopping right now... never thought I would be... just looks like it would be useful on the ranch... the Kubota L3800 is fine for getting around when working alone... not the ideal with others... plus it would be nice to be able to showcase the place to some of my elderly friends.

The Crewcab F250 is a little big for the trails... plus takes a parking lot to turn compared to an RTV.

Please let me know if I'm making a mistake... right now the Kawasaki Mule 610XC in camo is what I am leaning towards... with California tax and registration, Dealer build and adding OEM hard canopy and rear receiver the best price is $8992 out the door... still a heck of a lot of money!!!

I understand it is rather light on towing, carrying a speed.

The plus side is they seem to be simple, economical and dependable... plus the right size for the trails.

Tell me what I'm missing?
