Is there any way to mark spam without opening a post?

Just saw a thread titled "swag bag"
Hovering the mouse over the title pops up the text with *** toys in the line.
But I had to open the post to report it.

Is there any hot key combo I could use so I did not have to open the post?

I think you would have to PM an admin to do it.

No. You'd have to open the thread to gain access to the "Report Post" button for that thread. That won't hurt you as long as you don't click the link inside the thread, which would take you to who only knows where.

Just as MossRoad says. As long as you don't 'click' on the blue highlighted link, you'll be fine.

Then use (click on) the triangle/exclamation-point thingy in the bottom left corner of the offending post (every 'post' has one). Write "SPAM" in the text box and 'send the report".

Actually, the post in question was about the contents of the so-called gift bags that academy awards nominees are given, which highlights how much we have devolved as a society.

Flagging posts does require opening them, above comments are correct that if you don't open any dodgy links you'll be okay.

How do you report posts without opening them?

How can you be sure it is spam if you don't open it? It might just be a first poster with a oddly worded title on his first post.

I'm fairly sure he meant opening the embedded content of the particular post.
