Good morning. Still way above freezing here, although the wind is going to be gusting above 45mph for the next few days, so doesn't feel quite as warm as the thermometer suggests.

Kev, with the sewing machine pedal, are you thinking of adjusting the current in the brake coil by connecting it in series, without a separate brake controller ? This could work, although only if the resistance just happened to be the right amount for the brake. Also it would need to have an adequate power rating, or else it would get too hot. A quick web search suggests a small single axle pair of brakes pulls in the region of 6A when on hard, the bigger 10"/12" drums a few more amps, so the brake coil is only going to be around 2 ohms or less. My guess is that unless it is an industrial sewing machine, it probably won't have the resistance range you need and could start smoking. Have you heard of someone who has tried this before ?

Introduction

A server (not necessarily a Web server) is acting as a gateway or proxy to fulfil the request by the client (e.g. your Web browser or our CheckUpDown robot) to access the requested URL. This server received an invalid response from an upstream server it accessed to fulfil the request.

This usually does not mean that the upstream server is down (no response to the gateway/proxy), but rather that the upstream server and the gateway/proxy do not agree on the protocol for exchanging data. Given that Internet protocols are quite clear, it often means that one or both machines have been incorrectly or incompletely programmed.

Eric, I actually was looking at a speed control pedal for wood tools Amazon.com: SE 975PS Foot Pedal Control Switch for Compatible Power Tools: Home Improvement and it says 1.5 amps but not ohms. No I do not know anyone else that has done this, that is why I am asking here. I was hoping this would replace the controller, otherwise I have no idea how to wire it up. I am a carpenter and really need help with this stuff, electric stuff not my forte. And now I have another question for you, with the raising of sheep that you do, does your wife work with any of the yarn crafts? Yes, I do know there I a lot of process between sheep and yarn, just curious.
