Ford 2000 Steering Gone!

Yesterday I was clearing my driveway of about a foot of snow using a box blade and suddenly had no steering. The steering arms are not moving at all. There were no feeling or sounds of anything breaking.. What is the weak point in the system? Any help appreciated... Thanks Dan

Would not call it a week point.... Failure is usually a result of neglect. Your steering box has failed. Usually water gets into the oil provided the oil hasn't leaked out already, then the top bearing fails and it's all down hill from there.

Or maybe your lucky enough the strewing wheel is loose on the shaft.
Ironically I will be rebuilding a Ford 2000 steering box next week.

I would guess the hyd pump is not supplying fluid to the steering cyls? Ken Sweet
