The showroom and/or the field are fat apart....you are showroom / parts counter, thats it.a lot more doom and gloom here than we see in the field. Also some bits that may apply to trucks, but don't apply to tractors. The systems are not perfect, but a vast majority of people will never have an issue with one.
The difference is...YOUR BUSINESS IS SELLING THEM so anything you comment on is taken with a large dose of optimism. I do buy my ag tractor consumables from you guys but would I buy a tier 4 from you.....nope.
On a class 6-8 diesel with Tier 4 emissions, it's possible to force regen but keep in mind that the computer controls are advanced enough that forced regen (in an idle, no load situation) will cause the ICU to adjust engine speed and injection durationto accomodate the cycle... and if it don't (and it happens regularly because of hardware issues(, the unit winds up in the shop (where I work) btw. I see it constantly. I said before, a full 75% and possiblly more is emissions related work and that work is mostly related to DEF. DPF or EGR issues.
You can sing all the praises you want to., in my eyes, it means nothing. I get to see the service side, not the showroom side.... Until manufacturers adopt better computer management and use better components, the issues will remain. Thats how it is, like it or not.
