Well, the Woods SB 74 snow blower is gone to another happy owner. I was happy with the deal and so was the buyer.
That snow blower owed me nothing....three seasons of use and I got what I'd paid for it.
I looked at a low hours consignment about an hour or so ago. A newer (can't be more then one season on it) Woods that is QH compatible, but no hydraulic chute rotation. The hydraulics can be added fairly easily and I'll probably end up going for it during Christmas shutdown. I do have a couple other places to check first, though

Maybe it's just my set up, but it seems that what's level for the bucket isn't level for the forks. So on my tractor, at least, there seems to be some Kentucky windage involved. :shocked:

All of the ones I've used were zeroed for the bucket and you just learned where the pallet forks needed to be. Bale spears, um I just watch the spear. But I'll agree it does take some Kentucky Windage sometimes.

Good afternoon all. 40F this morning, don't know why I am warmer than points south. Windy today and forecast to make it to 60F. Emptied out the truck of the wood, split it and got it stacked. Maybe get some leaves picked up this afternoon. Or finish picking up more wood

You have to get up early (before the wind shifts from the south) to catch the 30s in Texas, we are up to 66˚ at noon.

It was 37F yesterday. It's currently 44F right now with a high of 49F.

Tomorrow it's supposed to hit 61F. That's a great forecast and we're supposed to have 60F on Christmas.

Hard to believe the forecast.

This warm weather is definitely welcome.

I guess we just have the little green ones over here. They are only 5x5 weighing between 900 and 1100 pounds. Makes it easier to ship them to Texas where they haven't learned to grow hay in a Hurricane yet.

This post got me thinking. Did Dad get Florida round bales during the drought?? So I had to take my tape measure and check it out and, nope, He has Texas Round Bales at 5'10" in diameter. With the 900 lb grapple and the 1100+ lb bale I was at my max and the rear tires came up when I hit a bump. My hand was alway on the joy stick to drop the bale if the tilt extended beyond my level of comfort. I got 4 bales distributed to the hungry cows so they are good for another 10 days. :thumbsup:

This is when it's nice not to have that front bar on the grapple tines. I got deep penetration into the bales for the lift. The bales were too big for the grapple to grab on the round side.

spoken from the mouth of babes...who are too smart for their own britches, and he was only 5 years old. But he sure liked his bag of presents.
The universal pacifier. The adults said they had a wonderful time seeing the kids have so much fun. All good.

I had fun, the kids had a ball and broke nothing in the house and spilled nothing. Amazing....

Lots of leftover food going to local firehouse tomorrow. I hope they like crab dip and guacamole.
