First Snow and First snow plow

Today I have to plow snows off on local road with My David Brown 1290 tractor.

That looks like a pretty good first snow. We're getting our first good one in the states from Colorado to Great Lakes region.
Why do you turn your blade backwards? Is it easier on the road or help prevent clogging??

Quite a lot snow... actually here in Finland is raining little bit snow in hole week, today was enough snow to plow off..

I turn blade backward because ground is not ice yet and if blade is "right" it easily cut trough in road surface and ruined it. When You plow with blade backward and then it get colder You get nice hard icy road surface.
