New Member Intro, John Deere 5300

Hi folks.

I have a 1996 John Deere 5300 4WD tractor.

It just turned 1500 hours total time since new.

I'm wanting to do some service to my tractor.

Particularly fuel injector service and valve adjustment.

The engine service manual for the 5300 is John Deere CTM125. Do a search of the web, you may need to try a few sites, but you should find a free copy to download. This shows how to adjust the values. I would be interested to know how much adjustment is needed.

Take a look at selectmanuals.com to get the tech manual for the tractor. You did not say if you have a loader, but here is a link to the operators manual of the loader you may have got.
