Who rides motorcycles?

So sorry to hear about Barley. I share your pics with my 3 young kids when I see them. As a former owner of 2 life spans worth of Goldens, I feel your pain. I know it isn't easy. My last Golden put me in the poor house treating him. It is known that they are predisposed to cancer. One buddy started giving his aged golden shark cartilage pills and it brought him back to life. There is a group that is trying to figure out why Goldens get cancer.

The wife and I both ride Harleys. A couple of months age, the wife wanted to ride to the coast for lunch. We saddled up and headed out on CA-58. About ten miles west of Bakersfield, a medium-large dog came onto the highway to chase me. It missed me, but took my wife down at about 60mph. She was thrown off, clear of the bike, and rolled like a pencil off the road and into the weeds. Her 2010 Street Glide beat itself to death down the road, and ended up on the shoulder 50-75' farther down than the wife. Wife was wearing protective gear, and didn't break any bones. Skinned both elbows, both knees, and all her knuckles, and got a large hematoma on one thigh. The beloved Street Glide was totaled. Everything that was painted or chromed was bent or scratched, and the frame was broken. Fortunate she was thrown, as it would have beaten her up severely.

She rode her new 2016 Street Glide home October 3rd.

I have T-boned a dog that probably weighed 60 lbs. Glad your wife is alright. I do not like big dogs that chase vehicles on the roads.

I'm glad she's OK too...

Over the years, I've hit two dogs while on bikes... One time I went down, the other time didn't. Both dogs were killed though.

I ride a suzuki bandit 1200 I've had for about 10 years, I want a v strom but between starting a firearms business, trying to get started in cattle and keeping up mine and my grandmother's houses, it's not in the cards anytime soon. Of course riding isn't really in the cards hardly at all. I am envious of everyone's rides they've posted in this thread though!
