I posted on here yesterday about the issues I am having with my Kioti tractor. I posted in 2 different places and both have been removed. One thread was 42 pages long and suddenly it disappears! The other one I started and it got removed. No email explaining why, nothing anywhere saying if or how I broke any rules. I do not understand how this happened and would someone to explain why they were removed.

Usually a thread gets removed because somebody made a comment that somebody else finds offensive and they complain to the moderators. Then the moderator makes a decision to either close the thread, remove it entirely, or move it over the the secret politics area. Name calling or accusations towards others and companies that could be taken as libel or inflammatory are also good reasons to get rid of a thread. Usually it's a one sides attack against a company that gets absurd and goes too far in my opinion.

I'm not a moderator, this is just an attempt to offer some suggestions on what might have caused it to be deleted without ever having seen the thread, but seeing it happen a lot over the years.

Did you say a bad word?

One of the administrators should be able to explain what happened to it.

Thanks for your reply. A person made a smartalec remark about my comments and I said I was already upset enough without his comedy act so maybe that is why that thread got removed. No reason for the other one that was 42 pages long. I did name Kioti
and also said the customer service rep's name on this one so maybe that was it who knows. I have had a very bad experience with my tractor and voiced what I thought was legit concerns about the way I have been treated. My tractor has been at a dealership since May except for 4 days when it was brought home only to be sent back for the same problem not being fixed. In the last 12 months my tractor has been down over 8 months!

Sometimes the threads get out of hand... no longer discussing anything remotely on topic... just personal attacks.

100 pages is quite a lot... sure there was some good information.

I tend to close threads after pruning... this way those that genuinely contributed are not ticked off. I am not a Mod at TBN.

Mods are typically volunteers with a life outside the Forums... sometimes it is just expedient to make it all disappear.

I wanted everyone to know about how I have been treated. I have spent a little over 85,000.00 on 2 Kioti tractors and accessories. I am retired and bought the last tractor thinking it would last me the rest of my days and it has been non-stop trouble from day 1. The rod that comes out of the transmission that controls f/r has broke 3 different times, the tractor creeps forwards and backwards and is a safety hazard, has had a complete hydro replaced, and has been in repair for close to 1 year total after I purchased it new in 2012.

You might double check your email. A notification was sent to your email address on file.
Generally, dealer problem discussions are discouraged because they almost never include the dealer's side of the story and could open the poster up to accusations of slander/libel.

Can you evoke lemon laws on this machine? Sounds like a candidate for it if several attempt at a fix have not worked and it is a safety issue.

Aaron that is a Canadian email address that I no longer use. Thanks for the clarification. I will update my email immediately.

I live in Michigan now and I do not think there is a lemon law here. I asked that question in my thread but when it was removed nobody could answer that.

So does anyone know how to find out about the lemon laws for Michigan? I checked the internet but never really found anything out about tractors. Most of what I found was about vehicles.

50 States and 50 variations of Consumer Proptection plus at the Federal Level their is the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act...

Have no idea if there are additional complications due to jurisdictions and countries...

As always... you should be able to bypass the process and let a Judge decide.

A friend did that and won everything... it only took him a year to get every penny he paid for his 2 year old truck... plus hotel and rental expenses... everyone told him to move on and he just could not accept that.

From what I have found (All pertaining to vehicles) I have a good case but I can not find anything about farm equipment and especially in Michigan. Ultrarunner's story is about a vehicle and I do not know if it is the same for farm equipment.

I don't know what caused the thread about DK40 Squeal in reverse to be removed, but I would strongly request that it instead be pruned and then reposted. It has a lot of valuable information for those who experience the squeal issue. It is a real problem and there is a real solution outlined in the thread with part numbers etc.
Removing the thread leaves a gap in Kioti issue resolution, which defeats the purpose of these forums.
Thank you.

Ultrarunner thanks for your help. The tractor is not used for business it is my private use only. I appreciate everyone's input and help. I think I am going to make an appointment with an attorney in Marquette Michigan and see what they have to say.

I would second this. That thread contained the solution for a relatively common problem with a straight-forward fix. I hope it is not permanently gone, so it can be pruned and reinstated, even if uneditable.

To the OP, I responded to your first thread. I had suggested contacting a different dealer, MIE. You said it was twice as far. I think that a phone call would be easier than taking a dealer (in a different state to boot) to court on a iffy issue. My so far successful goal has been to stay out of a court room, it is not worth my time, effort, and expense, unless there is absolutely no other alternative on a very expensive object. However, dealing with a foreign company with a NC HQ, a dealer in WI, and the owner in the UP of MI, when the selling dealer is in the LP of MI is not my idea of fun. I know you're mad, and rightly so, I'd be mad too, but slow down and consider your other options.
