2015 MF 5612
Bought a new 5093E in 2012 and had nothing but problems. Very disappointing.

Tractor had 1200 hours on the clock and spent 2100 hours at the dealer in the 3 years I owned it.

Bought a MF 5612 Deluxe. Pretty much equivalent to a 6125R but didn't cost much more then a 5m. Very impressed so far, not fair to compare it to a 5E but wow, I should have spent a little more and got one of these to start with! Dyna 4 powershift (can shift, de-clutch, foreward-reverse all from joystick), cab suspension, loader suspension, 3 point suspension, armrest controls, brake to clutch, etc. Its bigger then the 5E but way better loader visibility due to the sloping hood, and so quiet inside!

It's a good size for a do everything farm tractor. Dealer says around 14000lbs as equipped. Needed a lot of ballast handling silage bales with the little Deere, don't even know they are there with this!

What is the FEL lift with that machine?

The self leveling lift is a little lower at 4200lbs to full height, 3 point is almost 8600lbs.

How did you avoid that? I also like how wide the front tires are.
Has DEF only and no DPF, the 5609 and 5610 actually have neither which I was thinking about, but wanted more power.

You think the front tires look wide? You should see the rears, lol. Fronts are 480/60R28 and rears are 600/60R38 Michelin Xeobib

Congratulations, very nice looking machine.
Thanks, I hope it does a lot better then the Deere! The local Massey/Kubota/Fendt dealer has a much better reputation then the John Deere dealer so thats a good start.

No doubt a good dealer is important. Our situation is just the opposite, we have a great Deere dealer and poor MF and Fendt dealer; it's a shame..

I am addicted to the metric size tires.

I've researched and now know what size metric tire I can get for a replacement of my 12.4x24 fronts on my Kubota. Don't wanna wish the existing tires any bad luck but soon as they show signs of failure they'll be replaced.

Congrats on the new machine. Glad you are happy with it!!!!

Not poking a stick at anyone, but I tried to buy a JD when I was shopping for a 90-ish HP tractor. My local JD dealer salesman talked me out of a D or E. Said I should consider an M series if any at all. That made the Kubota several thousand dollars cheaper. Hope JD gets all those problems figured out.

Well don't keep us hanging man, I'm guessing that your looking for a wider footprint. What are you going with. Will you need new wheels?

Let's hope MF has a better handle on their technology than JD. Personally, I think high technology is going to be the downfall of them all.

Let's see some pictures of the cab and those nifty controls you mentioned.

Actually Micheln makes a wide footprint metric size tire that will fit my stock wheels,

Micheln multibib 420/65R24
Section Width 15.6"
Overall dia 45.7"
Rolling cir 134.8"
RCI 37

Compared to

Micheln 12.4R24
Section Width 12.8"
Overall dia 45.2"
Rolling cir 134.6"
RCI 37

Gorgeous tractor! Those metric radials are a smart choice. The lack of compaction is worth the extra $$$$!

Nice looking tractor. IMHO if JD engineers don't eliminate some of the ongoing problems a lot more tractor owners will be changing COLORS!

I bought this after a buddy sold his Deere and bought a 5613. Drove his and was sold. He had a 15 year old Deere which was pretty good, but having problems now. He priced a Deere first and the price was ridiculous, The MF is 30-40k cheaper for an equivalent tractor!
One dairy farmer down the road has switched to NH after many problems with a new Deere, and another one keeps threatening to switch due to a lot of problems with their 7R, but I don't know the specifics.

My E didn't have much electric to go wrong, only had a bad switch and resistor. The rest of my problems were mechanical, either poor quality or improper installation. My ring gear for example was not set up properly from factory. Was installed too tight causing major wear according to the dealer. I suspect all the components were made/assembelled in India and China and then bolted together in the US.

I was warned about transmission and rear end failures.

Pretty hard to find an American made tractor anymore. And in reality, I'm not concerned about it being American made. But I am concerned about where it's made because the standards just have so many variables. In the end, the brand name of the machine is responsible to enforce standards in manufacturing of the various pieces. So it's ultimately John Deere or whatever brand tractor it is to take the hit. Doesn't do any good to blame it on a foreign country. They are building to meet the standards imposed on them by the purchaser of the product.
