People age at different rates. There are plenty of 12 year olds ready to safely operate a tractor. Some at age 25 are not ready, and may never be.

Safety question; is she wearing ear-plugs? Loss of hearing can happen over time when exposed to even low levels of constant noise.

Yes for lawn mowing. Maybe for other stuff too but I would have to Guage her ability and confidence.

Thanks Wag! I have 3 daughters. I'm infinitely proud of all of them.
She's not wearing hearing protection here, but I have it idled down to about 1700 rpm. We are definitely proponents of hearing protection though. I'm usually wearing noise canceling earbuds and listening to tunes when mowing.

My son has been driving mine since he was 9. He is now 30 and I often watch him and have a good feeling to see he still remembers the safety lessons I taught him. Now next up will be my grandsons. I have been warned that my grand daughter is the one to watch out for

My oldest one at 12. My youngest one, still not comfortable at 17. Funny how two kids from the same parents can be so different. I don't mean opposites, I just mean different.

My 12 yo daughter has driven mine a few times and does a great job operating anything that moves. She doesn't get to drive the tractor too much though because Mom get too nervous. Usually I just tell her not to drive by Mom's office window
