I'm rigging up a test bucket now to see if how many vegetables I can haul up to the house remotely. At least a few tomatoes and some lettuce for a salad.

I can shoot at my place legally. A drone comes over within shotgun range, it will be fair game for me. I was not born for the world I now abide.

I hate to feed the trolls but:

1. The drone you can see, hear, and comes within shotgun range is not the drone you need to worry about.
2. Announcing premeditation is always a bad idea: if you plan on doing this remove the post and keep your mouth shut.
3. Those truly so concerned with their privacy (which wouldn't be anyone posting on a forum like this) can easily jam civilian drones.

Forget the shotgun. The DJI Phantom operates on a 5.8ghz frequency and other drones use 2.4ghz. Get a transmitter and you can fly that pesky drone into a nearby tree, lake or land it in the road. There was an article online about a hacker who was stealing drones this way.

I was thinking of a tool that an ape, or any creature with opposable thumbs, could use to take down a drone. Although, the long sticks were quite effective.

Cool, I could see a lot of uses for this in search and rescue, etc. Lift requirements would necessitate a larger drone is all.
