2305 mid pto issues

hi,new here,l have 2008 JD 2305 400 hrs on it ,when cutting grass it works great cold,but once it warms up the deck seems to slow down and flattens grass,any ideas? JD wants 2000 to tear it down and see what is wrong,am using the mid pto,any help would be grateful.

Traylerpark, I am having the same issue and would appreciate knowing your outcome. I have a 2008 JD 2305 with about 1200 hours on it. While I am cutting grass with my mid mount mower the first 10 minutes are completely normal. As it warms up and if I hit any load I notice that the mower deck blade velocity decreases significantly. It is as if the transmission has either lost power or has an internal inefficiency. I have also noticed some whiney noises out of the transmission when it is hot and under load. This problem is only affecting the mid PTO. No other issues. As it has been almost two years since your post I would really appreciate your story as I have to respond to this over the next couple of weeks. Thanks

In looking at the JD parts breakdown this is a hydraulic clutch. Did JD install a test port for monitoring the PTO clutch pressure? Sounds like when the oil gets warm you are losing pressure to keep the clutch fully engaged.

I agree with oldnslo though I would be checking the pressure to the clutch and if that is okay you might have to tear it down. I would also check the mower drive belt and tensioner too.
