There are little squash on the bushes now. The bees were really working the Armenian cucumbers this morning. BIL has a hive, so I'm guessing they are his.

Wife planted lots of peppers, too many were habanaro's, have baskets full but can't use, too darn hot for me and I like hot stuff. No tomatoes for sandwiches but lots of plum shape mators that she uses in her filipino cooking.

I sent a big pan of peppers to BIL's chickens this morning. They get about 90% of what I pick. Like I always do, I over did it on peppers. I didn't plant any habanaro's this year, but my Serrano's are plenty hot for me. My Cayenne are just starting to produce. I was late getting them planted.

Peppers and peas are the only thing that did extra well for us this year. Wife canned the peas. But we took the chilies and cleaned them out and sliced them into strips. Then stuck them in the dehydrator till they were crispy. Used a mortar /pedestal and crushed them up. We now have green chili flakes that are great for spicing things up or in soups and such. I like to sprinkle them on my scrambled eggs in the morning.

we had a wet june with over 9" of rain so things had a late start, but we have been picking
pickling cukes for weeks now, already filled up all of our mason jars with pickles!
my zucchini plants are doing great! only problems is they aren't zucchini. we bought starter
plants at a garden center and we got spaghetti squash instead. very disappointed as we love
zucchini grilled with yellow squash. we picked one the other nite to see what it was as there are
some rounder zucchini varieties out there, but nope, it's squash. have had a few green peppers,
and waiting for tomatoes to ripen but they look good. cherry peppers are almost ready, picked 2 yellow
squash but the spaghetti squash is taking over that area of the garden. carrots didn't look good but are
coming slow, and green beans were along the edge of the garden in containers and i think the tru green
guy hit them with weed killer while treating the lawn so we lost them...... wth

Picked more blueberries too!

Looking good guys. We picked a few peas, plus the peppers and cucumbers tonight. The first row of peas has the leftover soaker hose from the Armenian cucumbers and it was loaded. The other five rows are a few days behind. I got the spigots finished yesterday and the last section of trench covered this morning. Got out early and made it rain.

I picked the peas again this morning. We got them shelled, but will wait another day or two for another picking before cooking them. Each picking is netting more than the one before it. The Sugar Baby melons are loaded, but the vines are pretty sparse. The Charleston Grey's and Crimson Sweets are much more viney.

I know... I should have pics, but we have had a record summer and we starting eating corn before August. Unheard of here. Something went wrong with our Walla Walla sweet onions though. All the squashes, cucs, peppers, peas, beans, berries, etc. are doing well. Tomatoes not sure what is going on... we will get plenty due to too many plants, but not a banner year. Vegetable gardening is still a mystery after all these years for us.

Not doing too bad for abut 70 days since the last good frost here ;)

Picked a good amount of tomato's today along with green bell peppers, Hungarian wax peppers, gladiolas and blueberries. I'm letting the next round of eggplant stay on the plants for a couple more days. This is way more than I use right now

It all looks good. We are still making a lot of peppers, but they are small this year.

We had a rough year for tomatoes. I'm starting some {Pruden's Purple and Better Boy} to grow in the house over the winter. Maybe they will do better.

I'm running to Lowe's this morning. I need more supplies for my inside garden. I decided hydro was more work than it's worth. I'll still use it for clones, but I'm going to try no till soil for my plants. Do any of you guys have experience with this method? I'm trying to learn about it on You Tube. What you do is build up your soil with natural mulches and what not, add worms, then you just feed the worms, not the plants. The main food is sprouted corn and alfalfa. Once you get your soil built up, you might spend $10-15 a year on upkeep from then on.

So far I have sprouts from the Pruden's Purple and Better Boy tomatoes, red bells, yellow bells and mini sweet peppers.

{These were from yesterday} There was one dead squash plant, so I transplanted in a young one to replace it. I picked the first two squash from the new plants. The turnips are coming up nicely. {So maybe leaving them under the sprinkler all day is a good thing?} My haul from yesterday, including the first tomato in a while.

I got out just before dark and picked the first two Armenian cucumbers off the new vines. I've been getting a few all along off the old vines, and it's a good thing because the regular cucumbers that were doing so good a couple of reeks ago have about stopped producing. There are tons of young vines, so once they kick in, I'll be neck deep in cucumbers again.
