A young lady ran a red light and wrecked my truck and trailer. Any help would be appreciated.

Assuming you want to tackle this yourself? If so, you're going to need some tools. Bringing it to somebody that does body repair might be the best way, though. Maybe somebody that does it in their home shop for cash?

The idea is for me to do it in the winter when I have plenty of time. I don't think it would be worth it to pay someone that's any good to do it. That bing said if any one is going to do crummy work its going to be me lol

I have experience doing this.

It's not difficult. But, there is a learning curve to riveting. And, you will need some special tools.

Keep in mind, it's also a two man job.

Finding that corner flashing is what worries me most.
Is it just chrome sheet metal bent over or if it's shaped in any way.

If she ran a red light her insurance should pay for the truck and the trailer. Let somebody else fix it. If she doesn't have insurance, take her to court for damages.

I don't know about this manufacturer, but when I have bought front corners, they were already formed.

Under the metal is often a flimsy 2" wood framing so that's the easy part.
If metal 'studs' cut to make them into a straight shape and double up with 3/4" plywood and again use screws to fasten the metal studs to the wood.
The corner metal you should be able to purchase locally from a trailer yard and if lucky even get a used section.
If you don't want to get involved with rivets you can always back any seams with wood and use screws and if you do so use strips of plywood for the screws to have a better grip.
Torn trailer 'skins' can be externally patched (not all that pretty, but functional) using pop rivets and sealant.

It can be done, takes time and patience.

It is wood framing. The front has 3/4" plywood.
The ball mount will probably have to be replaced. It was warped from the impact.

I heard from the tow yard guys that the insurance company said it was totaled. I have to hear back from them to see what they are going to do.

It will never be the same. I had one that after the accident I got it back for a small allowance. Two shops were not really interested in it. The repair bills were higher than a new trailer. Good luck.

I bought a trailer with rear damage... it was bought right.

Went to the local Trailer Dealer for that brand and the owner could not have been any nicer.

Ended up ordering all the parts I needed for less than $200... took a few weeks to get because freight was free if it came out with his next trailer order otherwise freight could have been as much as the materials.

Did the work myself on a Saturday and it came out perfect as in not being able to distinguish where the repair had been made... probably because I used OEM parts/materials.
