I have a BX2200 - I've noticed a clunk/thud when turning the steering wheel. It's not actually a sound, but I feel a thud coming through the floorboards - almost feels like what you'd expect running over a small rock - but I'm not necessary moving when I feel it. It does appear that there is a slight dead zone between right n' left. It's subtle, but I don't trust the BX fly-by-wire steering system - it appears awfully unreliable from what I've read here. Any suggestions?

It may be the tie-rod ends getting bad. The slight play in the steering may be the o'rings in the cylinder getting worn. How many hours on it?
My steering had the hesitation in turning left or right. It was the orings in the cylinder worn. Rebuilt the cylinder and problem solved. I had 1170hrs on it when I rebuilt the cylinder.

Look at the ball joints when steering back and forth. I had the same problem on my BX2230 With 400hrs. Just one of the nuts loosened up. If one is loose you will see excessive movement. They are a pinch fit. Jack up the front, tap lightly down with a hammer to re seat taper, tighten and done.
