Here is my son when he was 5 learning to operate the back hoe. He is 8 now and a pretty good operator. He doesn't understand why I won't let him quit school so he can work full time. Crazy kid!

Dang...talk about taking it to the limit. :confused2:

I was near 95-97% of lift capacity. It might have been able to lift another 100 lbs. or so. It was dicey traveling and then lifting the load to dump. The teeth give the bucket more capacity.

Sone things I make real sure of when loading rocks in the bucket using the excavator, is:
1. Go slow & steady.
2. Don't drop rocks, place them
3. Most important, have bucket firmly on ground and if possible lift front axle off ground so as not to break axle. (Don't ask me how I know this)

That's what they make dump trailer for. (0;

I see you are coaching him in safety with the seatbelt on! Nice pictures!

New tractor owner here. :D
Just picked up a 2006 B3030 with only 241 hours this past weekend. Single owner (homeowner) who mainly used it for snow removal. It's in great shape and will be going through it this weekend checking all required 50 hour maintenance.

Very nice find. I bought my B3030 new in 2005 and have 650 hours on it now. I use it for mowing 2 acres of lawn, snow removal with the loader bucket and a 72" Landpride rear blade, plowing the garden, moving brush, logs, mulch, etc. I don't have a backhoe. I rented a mini excavator the one time I needed one since I bought the tractor. I love it. It has been trouble free. I do all the maintenance myself and keep up on the fluid and filter changes. It is the best thing I have ever bought to maintain my property. Good luck with yours.

Congratulations :thumbsup: That is like 26 hours a year, what a find! Wish I had your backhoe

Thanks guys.

Yea I got real lucky!!! This was pretty much exactly what I was looking for. I had been looking around for over a year and a half. Most of what I saw was junk. I didn't want to be buying someone else's problems. Saw this one on craigslist and it was only posted for 9 hours. Called and met the guy the next day with $1K in my pocket as a deposit, made him an offer and got it for $18K. It included a Kubota ballast box, canopy, 400 pounds of weights (25# each), a custom made plug lawn aerator and two heavy duty dollies to put the backhoe on when removing it. I'll have to take a picture of the aerator. The thing is a beast.
