Just finished doing some spring servicing, grease pivot points, change antifreeze, blow out filters, top off battery, fluids, etc. Took a step back and noticed that it was looking a little grungy as I hadn't washed it since I bought it. I keep it indoors so not even rain to wash the grime off.

Being pretty lazy, my first thought was to break out the pressure washer but decided I didn't need water forced into places it shouldn't be. Started thinking about a bucket of soapy water and a sponge but laziness kicked in again. Considered hiring the neighbors kid but I could just picture him using the spray nozzle a little too enthusiastically.

So, how do you bring back the shine on your machine or do you prefer the "well worked" look?

I wash my Kubotas with a power washer. Just don't go full force on the gages or engine area. Cleans up nicely.

I leave mine out in the rain when it get real dirty or just trade it to Barlows and Gary complains because he cleans the trade ins or at least mine or so he says.:D.

I normally spritz it down with simple green, let it sit for a while, and hose off. Do that 1-2 times a year after any really muddy or dusty work. Not real picky about it, just want to get the dust off (especially the motor, since I hate working on dirty motors).

I think I'll go with a combination of simple green and a carefull pressure wash followed by greasing again.
The trade in option is something to consider and would be nice  but I'll have to pass on that one for a few more years

I occasionally leave mine out in the rain and have occasionally hosed it off so I can see out of the cab.

I trade mine for clean ones. TripleR just buys another one and keeps his dirty ones. :D:laughing:

Ain't that the truth, you should see mine right now. I usually park my tractors when it's muddy, but I've had pond levy repairs and home site prep work and the mud has been flying. As to new tractors, like you, I've bought my last one, no I really mean it this time...:D

Stop being lazy and wash the dang thing. Instead of doing it half arse with Simple Green and a pressure washer, get a bucket and some soap and put sponge to paint.

Its not that hard. Never ceases to amaze me, people will spend tons of money on a new tractor to never clean it up. I guess the same type of people also spend $30K on a vehicle and never wash it.

Yeah, me to. :D Bought a used BX1500 MMM yesterday from Barlows.:)

When I wash the cars, I line the tractor up next to them and do car --> truck --> tractor in sequence. Doing the tractor only adds a few extra minutes once I'm set up for the cars. I save the tractor for last and can usually use the same bucket of suds for all three. Wash-rinse-dry-put in garage, wash-rinse-dry-put into garage, wash-rinse-dry-put in shed... it's an assembly line.

I saw that and it's your last one...;)

Absolutely....for sure....no doubt about it .....last one.......finished buying.....for sure.....positively almost for sure.:D

Now that I got my cistern half filled with rain water, thought it would be a good time to fire up the pressure washer and wash the winter grime off the Kubotas.

Nice B and BX. I like to armour all the thing after I fluid film it. Just cant stand to see high dollar machines looking like crap.

Thanks for the positive comment. I would never armour the seat of that BX. I was in rabbit speed one day, hit a bump without my belt on, and almost did a Dixie!
