Very nice. That will be a huge help with snow removal. Did you go with the power reverser or the hydro trans? What implements do you have/plan on getting? Enjoy your green machine.

That's a nice looking machine, quite a step up from the tractor in your avatar.

Still have the X748. My go to machine for mowing lawn and 47" snow blowing. 4044R is for the bigger landscaping type work around the farm/property. Also for snow removal when a blower don't work with some of the mixed precipitation we get regularly. :) I traded in an open station New Holland Boomer 3040.

I'd say you have all your bases covered with those two machines. Congratulations on the new tractor.

Nice tractor. Looks like it might be time for a new shed to keep it in. A little big for this one?

Looks great. I like those handles on the bucket. Did you order those or did it come that way?

With the tractor I ordered JD's 73 In. (1850 mm) Heavy Duty Bucket with Bucket Loops and Holes for Cutting Edge from the dealer.

You will like that HD bucket. I bought a JD 4520 last year. It has the standard bucket. You can see the bucket flex moving or pushing something heavy. Much more tractor than bucket. I don't know why they even put this bucket on the tractor. It was on the lot and I took as-is. Going to get buddy to doing some welding to reinforce it. I think I will add those loops. Those will come in handy. Hope you enjoy it.

Congrats, nice looking tractor. Are you going from the CVT to HST or PowerShuttle? What made you go with JD instead of a new cabbed NH?

The traded NH Boomer 3040 had an HST and the JD 4044R has the HST also. Always liked and wanted a green tractor but blue gave you more tractor for less money back when I bought the 3040. This time around the deere tractor price was not as much over the NH. I had a price on a "leftover" Boomer 3050 cab / CVT but the Deere dealer really gave me an outstanding deal and the blue dealer gave me smoke and mirrors on the trade value and new tractor price. In the end the NH dealer never honored the cash price he offered for the boomer without buying the new tractor ... big turn off. Deere gave me an incredible 22% off retail. I suppose Deere was getting aggressive in light of slow sales. They even went as far as adding a middle buster implement ($180 item) so I was eligible for the $500 two implement rebate/discount. Saved me $320 ... they really did what they could for me.
