Tractor
Kubota B7610HSD, Mahindra 6500 4WD, JD 440ic crawler, 2 560 farmalls.
I was shopping around for a tractor with a cab for the winter months and was surprised when a local dealer offered me 14k for a trade in for my 6500 4WD with loader. For a package with the backhoe it ran me 36k 10 years ago. Is this common for Mahindra? Obviously I am not going to go with a deal like that but it was disheartening.

Is this just the tractor and loader? Not the backhoe?

Yes its common for the non name brands to take a dive. My area is terrible. I saw a branson w loader similar to my 7520 stall at 10K at auction

shuttle or gear? That tractor new with a loader only sold for around 26 back then

Age, hours and condition are all factors. You can check around on tractor house and Craigslist but remember most of those prices are high retail not trade in prices.

And the ones that have been up for months are usually still up for a reason

It has a couple hundred hours. It is shuttle. As I stated I got a package with loader and backhoe and I got the quicktatch bucket. I'm keeping it. I still love it but I would like a cab for winter.

Remember the dealer is going to offer as little as possible and then add a bunch to it to resell.

Trade ins are always a losing situation.

Sell it outright and use the cash for the new one. You'll make out much better.

Other dealers will tend to not want to comment on trade-in values offered by others. It's a sticky situation. But it would seem that your TLB is worth quite a bit more than that.

BTW, the backhoe may just fit a new Mahindra. It would need a different sub-frame, but the "red" part ought to work on several models. Not so lucky on the loader. I assume you have the Mahindra branded Bradco backhoe.

Thanks Dave, yes I live right by the BRADCO company and I have already reached out to them for compatible machine listings. Selling outright could be an option.
