Found a L4150 w/BF 900 loader. Any info would be great.

I found this 1986 L4150 for sale locally. I have been and looked but unsure of buying it.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Here's what I know,
Current owner not much of a tractor guy, it's been sitting for the last two years.
I checked the oil and hydra oil, looked to be ok. The person that is selling it for the current owner
is a farmer and owns his own service shop. He doesn't know alot about it other than the owner hasn't
used it much since he bought it. Owner has had it for the last three years. He also leases the owners farm.
I talked to the originating dealer, couldn't give me much info on it. Spoke to another dealer about it just to compare
value. There was a $3000.00 difference between the two. Hour meter has 647hrs and according the the farmer it works.Had to put new battery in it to get it started. However it looks like it might have been a very hard 647hrs, or it's been replaced. That's where my concern lays.

Here's what it needs just from looking at it:
New tires all the around
New seat, new grill and headlamp.

Looks like it has been sitting out it's whole life,faded paint wouldn't bother me.That's very low hours for an almost 30 year old tractor.My understanding is that the "50" series tractors were very good.

Yes that's the one. However look at the picture and then look at the ones I took.

So no bucket and no Roll Over Protection to save your life... hum, I would reduce what he is asking for it $6k?? He didn't even want to spend the time fixing the wheels... it should be a good tractor but you got some work on your hands if you buy it... no problem working on it yourself?

It has a bucket all so, I did some research on TBN some of the older models did not come with ROPS.
Like I said, the farmer is selling it for the owner, I showed up unannounced when I went to look at it.
They had to drag it up on the trailer to get it to his shop. He was going to fix the flat tire. He put a new battery in it and checked all the fluids and it fired up. He let in run for two hours that;s how he knew the meter worked. Not sure I understannd your 6k remark?

Well, you could space out the rear wheels, replace the tires all around, change out the filters and fluids, and hopefully you'd have a nice tractor. Maybe offer $5000? If it runs and the hydraulics seem okay, then it should be fine??

Offer him $6,000 (or $6,500 since he has the bucket...)

There's one other thing that has me stumped, on the floor board where you add hyrda fluid there is something like a value, when I talked to the farmer about it said it might have had a side mounted mower on it at one time. Just don't like the idea of this value being there and what it could of ran.
What could if of done to the hyradraulics?

That's kind of where I'm at.
