Late to the party, but when I started working after college, my dad and his buddies all told me over some celebratory beers to plow money into the 401k plan that had a 6% company match..At age 23, I did and continued for the last 25 years. Never borrowed from it, never stopped contributing even when my daughter was born 3 months premature, the wife had a post partum stroke and we were dirt broke for years after that. I restored cars until we got out of the financial rut. All are healthy if anyone cares.
Some luck and a lot of discipline I guess. Given the direction of the thread now, 22+ years married..
