When I recently bought the property adjoining my current farm, along with it came three huge 40x500 poultry houses, and a 90kw John Deere/MagnaPlus generator, circa 1999. I've sold off all of the poultry equipment, feeders, waterers, pumps, lines, etc., and the generators was one thing remaining.

I sold it this past weekend, and luckily a neighbor about 5 miles away is in the collision repair/towing business. I needed the generator picked up out of the existing shed and set down on the buyer's trailer. His 2ス ton USArmy surplus tow/crane truck made short order of the job.

In order below (I hope) the JD generator, the crane truck, the lift and set-down, the 300 gal diesel tank loaded.

Next job, having the poultry houses demolished and cleaned up.

Since e I'm not living on the property (I'm two hours away), I'm looking to have a local who does just that make me an offer for the three units. I already know of one guy who wants one entire barn.

That looks like a M936 5 ton wrecker, not a 2 1/2 ton. Not that it matters to the story at all.

Why didn't you keep the genset? It looks like it could have been real useful!

I considered it, but with it almost 1,000' from my hunting cabin, I'd have to move it, or run lines underground that distance to use it.
by the time I did all that, it'd be cheaper to get one the size I really needed. What I was paid for this one will buy me a new/used one at that rate.

And you're probably right about the truck, I don't know trucks.
