have ctek chargers, quick disconnects etc. the problem is getting to the bolt. too much stuff packed in around the plus terminal in the xr 4040h tractor.
what you are asking / wanting is coming down to a needing a wiring diagram for the tractor. Can't get to the battery plus side without removing the computer. This is a downside of the xr. Is there any other always hot location on the tractor that does not go thru a relay or the key?
And some pigtails come with rings to be permanently attached to the battery. You just disconnect the pigtail and drive off. Hook it back up when you are done. In fact TSC has some on sale for $19.99.

They also have extra ring pig tails for $3.99
I think this is the best solution. The connector used commonly is called an SAE two pin connector - you can buy them at an auto parts store or on line. Amazon.com: sae 2 pin connectorMy charger came with pigtails- I hardwired them in and just pop the quick connect together- works great-

Agree, the Andersons are also good. I mentioned the SAE connector as this is what comes on many charger / maintainers. I try to stay out of the sex lives of my connectors. :laughing:On those (and I have used them too) be sure that the one that stays on the vehicle the negative(ground) connection is the exposed pin so that as it flops around and accidently comes in contact with the frame of the vehicle, it will not arc and short out the battery.
This is one reason I like Anderson Powerpoles and suggested using them in that both connectors are insulated. The other reasons are they are self cleaning, and they require less force to disconnect if you accidentally forget to unplug the charger and drive away.

I use Anderson Powerpoles for all of my 12 volt Amateur radio connections, as do most hams.
These connectors are hermaphrodites (sexless) connectors, so there is not a male and female connector.
