I have a 5085e, I have not had it long enough to tell you about its reliability. I can say i like it so far. The hydraulics are way faster than my old New holland Powerstar 4.75, the ride in the pasture and on the road is way smother. The only negative's i have found so far is it does not have a dome light and the chains on the three point. Adjustable bars are way better. I added the right hand door, outside mirrors, radio and buddy seat.

Sorry getting back so late. Been doing a little duck hunting. I just had the power star, the New Holland was a good tractor but it had some things i like better about the JD. 1. The parking brake some times you have two rock the tractor to get it to set. 2. The ride is rough you can't hardly ride in it at top speed on the road. I think knowing what i know about both tractors now i would go with the JD

We've had ours since September, has about 30 hours on it now, no problems other than a leaking transmission seal that was fixed when it had 7 hours.

Not much use for it over the winter time but time will tell next spring/summer when it really is going to get used.
