Must remove the hitch?

Good grief.

I agree, its quite preposterous that someone else should be responsible for me not knowing where I'm walking!

Good grief.

Soundguy has a point. Watch were you walk. It's only your fault if you walk into something. I bet in every case of someone walking into a hitch. The hitch was occupying that space first. So be nice to it and walk around.
What's next a call to remove spare tires from jeeps. They stick out past the bumper. How many have walked into them?

In following this thread, I've decided that it is fair to those who use their hitch a lot, that it be left in as they please. For myself who only uses the hitch now and then (mostly in summer), it seems reasonable to remove it........regardless of the law. Now .... that is settled.

Maybe I missed something but no one is calling for a law...Just some concern for your fellow man, of which there appears to be none..Oh well.

Post #1 was about being told it was a legal requirement, when it wasn't.

Once again..Good Grief....

I mistakenly believed that the people on TBN actually cared about someone beyond themselves..This thread proves I was very wrong. Lesson learned by me.

As I said before..Whatever.

Good grief, you guys are slippin'!

I'm still waiting for someone to post that video of that woman who walked right into a water fountain!

I don't believe anyone here was talking about texting....If you care to waste your time on that then so be it.

If you are too lazy to remove your drawbar when it's not in use, I wonder what else you're too lazy to do when the trailer is in use.. Just sayin..

/ Must remove the hitch? #180
Keep hearing "watch where you're walking"...Personally I don't spend my life walking around looking at my feet..Everyone I know that leaves the drawbar in has admitted that they are too lazy to remove them...I don't ask what else they are too lazy to do when hooking the trailer up because I'd rather not know.

Personally, I have 4 different drawbars for different trailers that I own. When I'm done towing, even for a few hours, the drawbars are removed and stored. I see no reason to leave them installed..Never have, never will.

Slam me all you want.

Tim, if you are walking through parking lots watching your feet all the time there is no telling what you would bump in to. :cool:I try to keep a look out for my own safety. :D
